HBOT

HBOT

During your HBOT session, you will sit or lie comfortably inside our soft solo chamber. The chamber is gently pressurised to 1.5 ATA while you breathe in pure oxygen. Sessions typically last around 60–90 minutes. The experience is quiet and relaxing; many people choose to read, listen to music, or simply rest. The increased oxygen levels in your body stimulate cell repair, reduce inflammation, and support recovery from a wide range of conditions. After the session, the pressure is slowly returned to normal before you step out of the chamber feeling refreshed and revitalised.

Benefits for Health and Recovery

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has been extensively studied and is used worldwide for a variety of recovery, and wellness purposes. At Nour Wellness Clinic, our clients have reported improvements in energy, pain levels, focus, sleep quality, and overall wellbeing. Below is an overview of areas where research is being carried out into the potential effects:

  1. Reduces Inflammation
HBOT is being studied for its potential effects on the body, including how it may interact with processes linked to inflammation and recovery. Clients often report feeling refreshed, re-energised, and better able to maintain their active lifestyles.

  2. Promotes Tissue and Wound Healing
Extra oxygen stimulates the body’s natural healing processes by encouraging new blood vessel growth and collagen production. This speeds up recovery from injuries, surgeries, and chronic wounds, as well as helping repair damaged tissues in muscles, tendons, and skin.

  3. Boosts the Immune System
By increasing oxygen supply to immune cells, HBOT strengthens the body’s defences against infection and helps fight off bacteria and viruses. This can be especially helpful for those with weakened immunity or frequent illnesses.

  4. Supports Recovery from Long Covid
Research shows HBOT can help people living with Long Covid by improving energy levels, reducing brain fog, enhancing memory and concentration, improving sleep, and supporting cardiopulmonary health. It may also improve blood flow in key areas of the brain linked to fatigue and cognitive function.

  5. Helps Manage Fibromyalgia Symptoms
Studies demonstrate that HBOT can reduce pain sensitivity, improve sleep quality, increase energy, and enhance overall function in people with fibromyalgia. Some patients no longer meet the diagnostic criteria after a series of sessions, due to symptom reduction.

  6. Improves Neurological Function
HBOT can enhance oxygen delivery to the brain, promoting neuroplasticity – the brain’s ability to repair and form new connections. This can improve focus, memory, processing speed, and mood in people with brain injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis, or age-related cognitive decline.

  7. Enhances Energy and Physical Performance
Athletes use HBOT where it can help recover faster from intense training or injury, as the increased oxygen can help flushing out lactic acid, reduce muscle soreness, and accelerate healing. Even for non-athletes, the result is often greater stamina, vitality, and resilience to stress.

  8. Improves Sleep Quality and Mental Wellbeing
Research is exploring how HBOT may influence sleep quality and overall wellbeing. Some studies have looked at links between oxygen balance, rest, and mood regulation.

  9. Supports Chronic Illness and Autoimmune Conditions
For people with autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis or lupus, HBOT may help regulate the immune system, reduce flare-ups, and slow disease progression, while improving overall function and comfort.

  10. Enhances Overall Wellness
Even for healthy individuals, HBOT offers a wellness boost – improving circulation, supporting detoxification, increasing mental clarity, and promoting a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing.
